A little bit about me
I was born in Austria, but raised as Japanse and lived there for my entire life until I moved to Canada in 2003. I graduated from the Univeristy of Alberta with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication. After completing my studies at the University of Alberta, I attended Vancouver Film School's Classical Animation Program, and graduated in April 2008.
Animation movies I grew up watching, and still love, are mainly from the Walt Disney Studios (Bambi, Dumbo, The Sword in the Stone, Tarzan, and more), and Studio Ghibli (Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, and again, much more). Not until I attended Vancouver Film School did I really start to appreciate the amount of work that is put in to even create a second-long animation.
My other interests are of course, sketching, painting/digital painting, reading books, unicycling, and Karate (martial arts).
